Pay part of Sanchez's contract for next year and Trade Him!!!!

I surely hope that the Pirates do not just trade Freddy Sanchez for marginal prospects!

Since we spent so much money last year on the draft and are considering offering Sano a considerable amount of money, for a 16 year old hopeful someday big leaguer, it would only stand to reason that when the Pirates trade Sanchez they will ship 2 or 3 Million dollars to the team trading for him so we could get back a top prospect or two for him.

If you are going to pay 3 or 4 million for a 16 year old, who may never see the major leagues, then it would only stand to reason that you would send 2 or 3 million dollars with Sanchez to acquire double A or triple A top prospects.  They are alot easier to judge as Major League player, than the high school and foreign youngsters we are planning to spend big money on.

Plus if this is not a salary dump, then ante up and send the dough with Sanchez for top prospects.

I would Love a Sanchez to the Twins trade for Liriano and a prospect.  Or the Sanchez and a good prospect from the Giants for our own Sanchez.

Then trade either Grabow or Capps to the Angels for Brandon Woods, or trade one of them for Eric Young Jr.

This would give us the top quality infield prospect we need to replace Sanchez.  It would aslo net us at least a #3 potential pitcher in either (Sanchez or Liriano).  Also, if we only send 3 million to the team trading for Freddy.  That nets us a savings of 5 million dollars on Sanchez's contract for next year, and we have his replacement in place for when our youth will challenge for the playoffs!!!!

"Keep the youth movement going"!!!!!!!!!
