Everything is On Sale...
According to Yahoo!Sports, the next 9 days could see ALOT of changes
Link
The scouts are in force in Pittsburgh this week, where the Pirates, in the opinion of one NL executive, are prepared to move just about anybody, including starters Zach Duke(notes) and Paul Maholm(notes), closer Matt Capps(notes), and infielders Adam LaRoche(notes), Jack Wilson(notes) and Freddy Sanchez(notes) in an effort to replenish their farm system. Wilson and Sanchez recently turned down contract extensions. Left-handed reliever John Grabow(notes) is also an eye-catching sales item in Pittsburgh.

Thanks for the link, Mick. This should be a very interesting 10 days.

not new
how many straight years have we sold away all our good players to get some unproven talent guys when we need some guys who can play in the majors you can get guys to play in the minor though free agency (Garret Jones) lets keep some guys that can help the younger talent become more refined by teaching them the ways of their position it happens in other sports and most likely other teams why not on the Pirates because they are cheap and don’t want to keep people.

Are you suggesting that they keep Jack Wilson so that he can teach Brian Bixler how to be a SS at the ML level?

You get guys who can play in the majors largely when they are unproven talent in the minors…We need far fewer Garrett Jones types in the system and more Gorkys Hernandez types. DL focused on the ML level guys, which leads to Burnitz and Randa. We have to grow our own.

This topic has been debated here for a long time and most of the commentators here don’t agree with your position. If you want to get a flavor for the various arguments, I suggest that you search through previous threads. You’ll find a lot of information there.

I'm starting to think you don't know a damn thing about baseball.
You love Collier, you complain about rebuilding, probably because “we spent the last 17 years rebuilding” like that matters, and your sentence structure is painful to read.
Bitch and complain all you want, if you want to be taken a little bit seriously, learn to punctuate.
Wait…you’re a troll, I knew it.

if Billy Mays were still alive
you get the feeling that he’d be hawking Pirates veterans for NH.
