The Mariners just DFA'd him. Even last season, he was their #5 prospect. He's got a lot of power and upside, why not take a shot and grab him? No harm in taking a flyer for a lesser prospect or two. I say, keep rolling the dice on the upside players and best case, you have trade bait further down the line, worst case, you didn't lose that much to get him.
