DK Says:

“Yet another rain-free rain delay. The Marlins just announced this one will wait until after an imminent storm passes through. These things never take long down here.”

And now this:
Not a drop of rain has fallen, but a new start time of 6:40 was just announced. Apparently, it will take them that long to dry off the dry field.

Hanrahan

I normally don’t place too much stock in coaching at the mlb level, but I think Kerrigan will help Hanrahan. Seeing him pitch, it looks like it is a matter of getting him to trust his stuff and not try to overthrow. Look for Hanrahan’s velocity to come down to 92-94, maybe a little lower and you will see positive results.

I was at the yard the other night when Ohlendorf pitched. Mostly 88-90 with 93-94 on maybe 4 or 5 pitches – all strike 3 swinging. Kerrigan is a shrink, not a pitching coach. If he gets Hanrahan to buy in, it will turn out good for the bucs.
