John Perotto's Top 10

Johnny Baseball was on the pre-game show to list his top 10.  Here is what he had:

  1. Alvarez
  2. Alderson
  3. Tabata
  4. Lincoln
  5. Gorkys
  6. Starling Marte
  7. Tony Sanchez
  8. B Morris
  9. Robbie Grossman
  10. Rudy Owens
Made the point that Clement and Ascanio don't qualify because of not  having prospect status anymore.
Now that I've made you read this, does anyone know what McCutchen's AB music is?  I love the song but don't know what it is.

Marte?

That’s definitely the highest I’ve ever seen Marte rated. Has he moved up as a prospect this season or was he always regarded this way? I always thought he was considered talented but old for his level. Help please.

He was always on the radar.

Witness, for example, Rene Gayo touting him here. That said, this is his first season in the American minors, and as such his success with WV has raised his profile considerably.

Age was a minor concern coming into the year (19 is a little old for the DSL or VSL), but jumping a few levels and moving straight to full-season ball this year, he’s right on track now.
