One of my customers at work yesterday...
Just a little story for all of you. I work at Best Buy and I had a customer walk in yesterday. As I am waiting on him we immediately start talking Pirates. We began talking about Lastings first game. He started mentioning how much fun the boys looked like they were having and how great of a game it was. We discussed the Burnett & Morgan/Milledge & Hanrahan trade. He stated that while Nyjer is a good ballplayer he is 29 and Lastings is young and is going to be a great talent for the Bucs.
Oh, I should mention that my customer was Bob Nutting.
I know that Yinzers love to hate on him for being cheap, but he struck me as a man that is truly a fan. He was excitedly talking about the first game against the Nationals and also about this years draft. I mentioned that I liked how NH was going for ZVR, Cain, etc. and he said he liked how the draft shaped up in drafting some higher upside arms in later rounds. He said he feels that NH has began putting the pieces in place to build a continuous winner. Now we do not know if he will fulfill his promise to spend money when the pieces are in place, but it was just kinda cool to have a conversation with the man at the top of my all time favorite team.
I really wanted to question him on the Sano proceedings, but I was supposed to be working and didn't want to be 100% unprofessional towards him, just 50%.

*Flash drive
Haha I should probably know what we sell a little better. However could you imagine if I did post this on PG Blog? Your reaction would be exactly what most comments would reflect.
“He can go out and buy computer parts but he can’t spend 2 year $30 mil contract for Wilson. His glove more than makes up for his salary! Sell the team!”

I went to Best Buy today....
I spent $400 on a 32 GB iPod Touch. I should be able to give Wilson a 2 year/$30 million contract.
I’M SURPRISED HE DIDNT ASK FOR A DISCOUNT LOL
AFTER HE BOUGHT IT I BET HE WENT NEXT DOOR AND TRADED THE 4 GIG FLASH CARD FOR A 1 GIG

Also, props for recognizing him.
A lot of the fans who have been weeping and rending garments over the last week-or-so probably wouldn’t have.
Those dang flash drives
are soooooo expensive.
