Why pay to Watch
The 17,049 in attendance to last nights victory have the answer to that question. There truly is a reason to go to game now. something is in the air and its not a rumor or the stink of Jack Wilson and Freddy Sanchez. Its the sweet smell of victories. Im in no way saying we are a great club, but hope is evident. Lets sweep the Phils and go looking for the brew crew.

Or at least the 8,049 of them who weren’t Phillies’ fans.
I have to agree
Iture seemed like there were a lot of Phillies fans in the seats last night. At the start of the game I was making dinner and just had the TV on in the background. A couple of times the cheers were loud enough to make me look up, only to see it was a play going Philadelphia’s way.
My other question is, did they count the dogs in the attendance?
I think it's worth.....
noting that attendance on the season is basically flat. It’s down 21K, an average of 346/game thru 62 dates. The crickets that were supposed to be occuping PNC park if the Pirates got rid of stars like Jack and Freddy seem to have some company (even if they are Philly fans for the next three days).
haha
“stars like Jack and Freddy”
This reminds me of a caller I heard on the radio. He said “The Pirates don’t have an identity anymore” (The call was right after the Jack/Freddy trades) and he continued with “The Cardinals have Pujols, the Marlins have Hanley, who do the Pirates have?” If Pirate fans really thought Jack and Freddy were our “identity”, why the heck were they upset over the trades?
