Hey, an out is an out - unless you're Mario, in which case it's probably two outs. -UtesFan89

Good to see them survive the leadoff walk to Jason Michaels.

GRRR.

Second and third, one out, McCutchen and LaRoche up? And no runs across?

Cutch in a bit of a slump right now.

Slump is a bit f an understatment

His bat has been damn cold. His average is dropping fast.

If the Bucs

win, and nobody sees it, does it count?

Real nice start by Maholm. Lets get him a win please

we’ve got a chance here…unbelievable pitching by maholm and we’ve scored a couple runs to give him a chance to get the win…let’s not choke it away here

Too bad The Book, which dictates all Russell’s moves, says you have to put your closer in whenever there’s a save opportunity, whether it makes sense or not. Maholm should sue.

The blowing of smoke.........

up JR’s ass by NH is my only sore spot with him.

I hate the save...

It really seems to make managers do dumb things.

by maguro on Sep 13, 2009 4:37 PM EDT up reply actions

It’s funny how all the reactionaries in MLB talk about how they hate statistics, but they let their handling of their pitching staffs be dictated by . . . a statistic.

Yay, another win! Only 8 more and we can avoid 100 losses! Let’s hope we can pull it off, if only to delay the ridiculous criticism of Huntington’s management for a month or 2.
