Sano not coming to Pittsburgh
Dejan Kovacevic reporting that Miguel Angel Sano is about to sign with the Minnesota Twins for $3.15 million.
He also mentioned that NH and Plummer...Sano's agent...supposedly had an agreement that the Pirates would get a chance to respond...but that didn't happen.
So...everyone that said the Pirates wouldn't spend the money on Sano...appears to be right...it was about the Benjamins...and the Pirates didn't come through.

Wow Screw Rod Plummer
This is from the PBC Blog: “At one point, according to sources on both sides, Sano phoned Plummer in tears because he wanted to sign with the Pirates and could not understand why there was a delay.”
Now we don’t know all the details and Neal Huntington can be quite arrogent at times, but it sounds like Plummer disregarded his clients wishes to try and stiff the Pirates. I have no doubt he could have gotten even more money if he came back to NH after the Twins made their offer but his hatred for Gayo and Huntington got in the way of rational thinking.
Again, Screw Rod Plummer
