The mind blowing reason MLB did not equate players hitting more HRs with steroid use.
I just read this very interesting article that provides a convincing argument that steroids played little to no part in the extra offense seen in the "steroids era". There is only one logical explanation for the increase in offense. And it is one that I have rejected until now. However, this evidence is so compelling it has completely changed my point of view on the subject. The ball itself changed mid way through the 1993 season, and remains juiced today.
