What about Chris Resop as a Starter?

Stay connected for news and updates

Obviously I'm not the first to think of this, as WTM has remarked

Given his success as a starter in AAA in 2010, the Pirates might want to consider him in that role, but they've given no indication so far that they will.

Resop is a poster boy for bad development, has he has been rushed to the majors by needy teams over and over (mostly the Marlins). His time with the Braves' AAA franchise in 2010 was very promising. He started 15 games and pitched 82 innings (his most ever) with a FIP of 2.86, 3.51 BB per nine innings, and 9.99 K per nine innings. The walks remain a problem, but he can still miss bats. What do you think, good idea or bad idea?
