Clint Hurdle To Get Second Interview With Mets

It may be a while before the Pirates end their manager search, since Clint Hurdle (who looks like the guy the Pirates want) just got a second interview with the Mets, along with Terry Collins and Bob Melvin. There may be a couple other interviews, such as Jose Oquendo, but the Mets' search is mostly done. Collins and Melvin are internal candidates, so it looks to me like there's a very good chance that Hurdle will be their manager. As WTM points out, Mets honcho Sandy Alderson is a smart guy, which inspires some confidence that Hurdle could work out for the Pirates.
