The long term plan?

Okay, so I hear a lot about this "long term plan" from the guys on Bucs Dugout who seem to know what they're talking about. Help me out here a bit. Clue me in on what we're talking about. When is this latest long term plan supposed to turn from an excuse to an "okay, we will either contend this year and keep improving from here or we've failed" season.

I'm not trying to be negative but I'm wondering who the next wave of prospects are that are making you guys feel this way. I like the two starting pitchers we drafted this year for sure. However, there must be more down on the farm that are highly credible soon to be big league contributors that make you guys buy into the "long term plan" propogada.

Again, not trying to be negative, but the way I see it we're on our 5th 5 year plan and there's only two years left on that. I think at this point most of what we hear from the Bucco's are explanations to excuse the fact they either dont have or refuse to invest the type of funds needed to contend in the major league money ball.

So please, give me some names and reasons why I should in any way believe this "long term plan" will work out. Not work out as in we'll break .500 once, but we'll start winning divisions and world series again.
