This is a big deal for the Pirates. The Brewers are putting all their eggs in one basket this year with the trades for Grienke, Marcum. The way I see it this is a good thing. The Brewers still dont have a reds-type rotation and this could mean the rebuilding process for The Brew Crew.
In 2012, when the pirates prospects really start rolling in, we will have the most suckiest division ever. The brewers, Astros will eb in the rebuilding process while the Cardinals might not be able to bring Puhols back. So, even if St. Louis does contend the Pirates could make it with the new wild card. By then I expect the pirates to be better than the Reds and the Cardinals.
Now, the only slightest problem. What if the Brewers do make it to the playoffs and earn enough money to resign Fielder. Well, thhat means they might have a solid team for a long time, but I still think theyre farm system is too weak.
