Pirates against Twins

I just noticed there wasn't a gamethread up. I don't have access to the MLB subscription accounts, and my account wont let me access the audio as of now. But if someone wishes to discuss or do PBP, I m sure that'd be welcome!

Ross Ohlendorf starts for the Pirates while they face Carl Pavano with a new look lineup that has Ronny Cedeno leading off, and John Raynor in CF. Garrett Jones and Milledge are the other regulars in the lineup, and Jeff Clement will hit cleanup!

Dejan says

Dotel threw 26 pitches in a MiL game, and will pitch for the Bucs Sunday

Everybody’s probably watching Robert Morris take it to Villanova. Not much of a hoops fan myself but that would be great for local kids to beat Nova. still just the first half though.

Buccos

Went down in order in the first. Guess Dy was robbed of a hit, Cedeno and Jones K’d. No audio here either. Checking Dejan’s updates on the PBC Blog.

Good to see Clement finally connect.

Moss now 0-for-22. By Russellthink, that makes him the leading candidate for a bench job.

bench, you said?

thats a relief! In Russellworld, it probably means starting…

We might as well...

…use Hart in RF and make Moss the 5th starter.

Now that you mention it, doesn’t Hart have a fairly decent bat?

Hey, an out is an out - unless you're Mario, in which case it's probably two outs. -UtesFan89

Why can't Mendy bust a long TD run? We could use it.

He was seen as a possible position-player draft in college.

And Moss threw 90+ back in his pitching days.

None of which makes it a good idea, of course.
