Oops

I guess there is a giant storm coming in. Right as the game is about to get underway, they roll out the tarp. I really love it that the storms come each time there is a televised game.

Now we get a lecture

from the Rays announcers about how we didn’t get enough back for Nady, e.g. A sackful of sweet valencia oranges would have been about enough for Nady. “They had some really big pieces…Bay….and…..Nady….”

Bay was a complete unknown until Boston made him a star. He did the same things he always did and became a top outfielder in Boston.

Maybe just being in the same division with the Yanks and Sawx rubs off.

Crosby out

Doumit grounds out. Clement takes a 3-2 pitch out of the park. 3-1 Rays.

If the trend continues...

FSN Pittsburgh scheduled for 156 games this year. A lot of rainouts might be a good thing. A lot of games with no reason to make up. Of course, no one is predicting the Pirates to only play 120 games.

wow

hey is our starting line-up really this bad, I think their averaging less than 1 run a start. “OLLIE threw the ball well today” john russell . " We wanted him to work on some stuff today, like backing up third and home"joe kerigan

to be fair

it was a split squad, so it wasn’t ALL our starters.

Charlie, can we do something about this pizzshop90 ? Or is this a poster from the PG blog ?

"Baseball is better than football. Think about it, eighty degrees, a cold beer and a short-sleeve shirt is better than 30 degrees, a hip flask and six layers of clothes under a lap blanket. Take your pick: suntan or frostbite. " - Thomas Boswell
