other than “fans” of New York teams

Lies. Clearly the most hyped and significant game of his career was when he faced Billy Crystal.

Off topic, but it won't fit anywhere else.

I was visiting the Reds board on a post about the financing of the potential new Cubs facility. Not as big over here, as you are in Florida.

It’s kinda ugly over there. I wanted to mention that I singled out your site as being very friendly to outsiders. I’ve posted about this and that over the last year-plus. I’ve gotten ribbed, and sometimes respected. Your site keeps it from getting personal. Not so on the Cubs, Cards, Brewers, or Reds sites. Not sure on the Astros, not ther much.

I get that we all have our favorite teams. Others we dislike/despise at different levels. You generally keep it classy over here. As an interested outsider, I appreciate that.

Thanks!

Reasonable outsiders are always welcome here.

Well, to be fair

it’s not like there’s too many people for Bucs fans to look down their noses at. That being said, Charlie and the gang do have a pretty swell site. There’s definitely a great atmosphere here.

I dunno, it’s not like they said he was terrible or anything, just that he hasn’t pitched in any big games. And they aren’t wrong. Lighten up.

Actually, they ARE wrong.

He was the top starter for Mississippi State in 2003, when he led them to a 10-4 win over Middle Tennessee State University in the first round of the playoffs.

Which is a hell of a lot more important than a preseason game, even one against the House of Stein.

ummm, excuse me?

Does anyone remember Paul Maholm pitching like 8 scoreless innings against the Yankees in 2008? It was the rescheduled game…we won 3-0, I think dickrod may have even struck out twice
