Nats to take Harper
Sounds like the Nationals are letting out signs that they are going to commit to taking Harper, months before the draft, much like they did last year with Strasburg. I'm kinda relieved that the Nationals are going to take him, because I don't think NH is too high on Harper, and the "fans" would riot if we passed on the next "Lebron James" of baseball. Pomeranz and Tallion seem to be the only high profile prospects producing well enough to warrant the 2nd overall selection, but there's issues with both. One guy not really mentioned much here is Levon Washington. He was a unsigned 1st rounder of Tampa last year, so he has pedigree and it's unlikely he wouldn't sign this year. He's also having a decent season with a JUCO I believe. If no one steps up as a sure fire 2nd overall guy, I could see us taking a similar route as last year and taking a guy like Levon. What do you guys think?
