Pitching, what the Pirates continue to lack

I'll continue to harp on the point that the Pirates have no future stars in the Minors in terms of Pitching.  They have a select few of guys that could contribute but nothing special.

The recent blowouts have shown me the Pirates need to take some action and shake things up.  Call up Karstens, Hart, and Veal.  Send Morton to the Pen or down to AAA.  Next move, bring Owens, Crotta (.67 WHIP!!!), and Alderson up to AAA.  The Pirates need to challenge them to see exactly what they have in terms of future pitching.  I'm not saying rush these guys but I would like to see all 3 at Indy by the end of the year.

Most likely Duke and Maholm will be gone and the Pirates need to see exactly what they have at the pitching level in the next year or two.  This team will go no where without better pitching but no one will know how good the pitching is until they prove it at higher levels and by then who knows, McCutchen, Alverez, Jones, Tabata may all be close to being shipped out again 5-6 yrs from now.  We don't need rookie pitchers when are hitters are in their prime, we need some guys with some experience.
