IronPigs, Flying Squirrels and Grasshoppers (Around The Minors, 5/3)

Indianapolis (12-12) takes on the Lehigh Valley IronPigs (10-13) in game three of their four-game set, starting at 7:05.  Jeremy Powell (1-3, 9.50) takes the hill against lefty Joe Savery, Philadelphia's first-round draft pick in 2007 and alum of Rice University and labrum surgery.

Altoona (16-6) travels to the Old Dominion to open a four-game series against the Richmond Flying Squirrels (14-9), in their first year as San Francisco's AA affiliate.  Tim Alderson (2-0, 5.49) will take the hill against his former organizational mates; righty David Mixon goes for the Flying Squirrels.  Game time is 7:05.  As an added bonus, I'm driving down from Charlottesville to attend the game, and I plan on liveblogging the action on my Twitter feed.

Bradenton (14-9) has the onerous task of traveling to Palm Beach (14-8) for the first game of a three-game set with the Cardinals.  Nathan Adcock (3-1, 2.70) takes on righty Mark Diapoules, starting at 7:05.

West Virginia (10-13) hosts the Greensboro Grasshoppers (9-15) at 7:05, in what will be the first game of a four-game series.  Gabriel Alvarado (0-1, 3.71) pitches against righty Curtis Petersen.
