Neil Walker: why is he raking?

Stay connected for news and updates

Neil Walker's career minor league line is .273/.322/.441.  His AAA line this year was .321/.392/.560, and he has carried that success over to Pittsburgh so far.

I know Walker isn't THIS good.  I wish he was Chase Utley, but he probably isn't.  But does anyone have an explanation for his dramatic increase in production?  Basically I am hoping that his play has improved for the long-term, and this isn't merely a fluke of a small sample size.
