Sometimes it's nice to peak at the right time. We all remember a few years back when the Cardinals were getting pretty darn good work from Suppan, including a few frustrating games for our Pirates against him. That got him four years and $42 million (backloaded, of course) from the Brewers.
Well, surprise surprise, the Brewers FINALLY decided they were tired of him sucking enough to finally cut bait. Released after 577 innings of blah.
My personal enjoyment comes from the fact that the Brewers still owe him $8.1 million for the remainder of this season, plus $2 million for buying out his club option for next year. that means Suppan will spend the rest of the season earning $77K a game to watch the Brew Crew on his TV at home, followed by another check for two mil after its all over.
Must be nice.
