The Blue Jays DFA Ronald Uviedo
In a trade today with the Braves, the Blue Jays acquired Yunel Escobar and Jo-Jo Reyes and sent Alex Gonzalez and two minor leaguers to Atlanta. In the process, they designated Uviedo for assignment to make room on their 40-man. Can we have him back now, guys?

I think that
everyone in the AL needs to pass on him; then we’ll have our shot.
If Huntington's real reason to trade him was for Rule V reasons.
Then we won’t be picking him up. And I think we have 2nd choice at him. Isn’t it just overall standings, regardless of league?
No
It goes in reverse order of standings by league. So the entire AL will have a shot at him, then the Nationals, then us.
Actually, wouldnt it be current standings, since were almost halfway through the year? Granted, that only eliminates one team…

Maybe ...
looks like he’s hurt. I’m sure that was a factor.
The Jays are also a much, much better team and have to make tougher roster calls.
I’d still never trade anything for Eveland.
Bingo.
Never trade anything for Dana Eveland.
Live and learn, eh?
…no, wait, he was terrible in Toronto, too, before we traded for him. Good grief.
