Jhonny Peralta traded for Giovanni Soto

And the Indians are sending cash to the Tigers.

Strange also that Mike Lowell isn't attracting any attention, although I don't know what the Red Sox want for him. Assuming they'd be willing to eat money, some contender should be willing to take a flyer on him.

Too bad there's no value left for Andy Laroche, because I'd probably take a Soto for him. Not sure that his stock will have much opportunity to get higher, since I don't see where he'll play. Of course, still a useful player to have around for a year or two...

I wasn't the only one who did a double-take at "Giovanni Soto", was I?

Anyway, though, he looks like an interesting under-the-radar prospect. I certainly wouldn’t mind getting something similar for Andy at this point.

Hey, an out is an out - unless you're Mario, in which case it's probably two outs. -UtesFan89

You shouldn't have been

Rather that’s probably the most important reason I didn’t say anything about him or put a link to the MLBTR article there :P

Soto's interesting.

Not a hugely high ceiling, but could be a solid mid-rotation lefty starter. He’s certainly pitching lights-out this year.
