The Pirates may have signed a deal with the Arizona St. SS worth 460K. Pirates Prospects has only confirmed the signing with one source but it appears that the Pirates have added to the very weak middle infield core of our minor leauges. Here's some of what Pirates Prospects had to say:

 There's been a lot of talk about Drew Maggi being close to signing with the Pittsburgh Pirates.  I posted about this on Saturday after Keith Law tweeted that Maggi and the Pirates were close to a deal that would pay Maggi $460 K.  Today I was told that Maggi has agreed to a deal with the Pirates.

 This should be a good signing as Maggi projects to be a solid top of the order hitter with solid speed on the basepaths.
