Fangraphs has a nice writeup reviewing the draft strategies and results of all six teams in the NL Central. Of course we've been hearing good things from lots of experts, but it never hurts to hear a few more.
They also report on how players who signed early have been performing this summer, which is interesting to follow. Not much on any of our boys besides Rojas, Jr. and Waldron.
They ranked our draft the best in the division, and Milwaukee's last. The middle is a little murky, of course, but they generally seem higher on Cincy's and St. Louis's picks than Houston's and Chicago's.
Here's my favorite bits:
$10 million is peanuts in the grand scheme of Major League spending, and it’s amazing how much talent it can bring in . . . This draft has great balance and a great budget. Win.
Gotta enjoy more love from the experts.
