Evan Meek Injured--Apparently not serious

Pirates pitcher Evan Meek took a hard line drive from Ryan Braun on his pitching hand during the eighth inning of today's game in Milwaukee. The trainers were holding his right arm as he left the field. This is speculation on my part, but the camera panned in on him and it certainly appeared that his wrist was broken or dislocated.

Obviously this is terrible news for anyone, particularly a pitcher, as it was Meek's throwing hand that was struck as he got it up to protect himself.

Just another piece of bad news in a tough season for the Bucs.  I'll update when more is available.

UPDATE: DK just tweeted that x-rays showed no fracture. This is great news as the shot of his wrist as he left the field was pretty grotesque. I sure hope that is right as a broken right wrist would be pretty devastating.
