Radio Call Of Pedro Alvarez's Walk-Off Homer
I thought Blass's response was worth a fanshot.

That sound byte makes me like Neveritt and Walk more. You don’t need to go 50 miles over the top to make a great radio call, even on the most exciting moment of the season.
I agree. I thought Neverett and Walk’s call was the better one when put in a public announcing position. While the HR was a great one – even extremely exciting – there still needs to be some professionalism about it. If they go too far, then it reflects poorly on them and makes them seem fake and over dramatic.
You're honestly going to rip them?
For showing emotion at an emotional win? They weren’t disrespectful in any way. Cut them some slack. They’ve put a lot of fake emotion into some dismal seasons, what’s wrong with one night of legit happiness?
+1
It was a little goofy but so what? They simply reacted the way we all did.
It has been a long 18 years and they’ve had a front row seat. It was, perhaps, a pretty meaningful game far beyond just one win.

Well at least they didn't
compare it to Maz’s home run.
Why don't you knock it off with them negative vibes?!
"Lord help us and save us cried Mrs. McDavis"
Granted it was better than when Blass yelled “Indeed, Indeed, Indeed” after a win recently, but overall Blass’ “Oh My G-ds” were too weird for a family show.
I heard it today at the game
and I thought Brown had a stroke while calling it

Yesh...
I can’t speak for them, but I was praying for a moment like this all summer. Everyday I practiced what I would say on the broadcast if one of our guys hit a walk off homerun. This is the best they came up with?
The glare of the spotlight is harsh, and the pressure that success breeds immense. We revere our heroes, but expect much. And criticism can come as easily as praise.
This was number 4 on top plays yesterday
The espn guys were mocking Blass pretty good, lol. I love the enthusiam but he really went too far imo, his cackling laugh towards the end and the mrs. mcdavis stuff he sounded a crazy old person.
I also thought, tim and bob did a much better job they were excited but kept it professional.
