THIS is what bad ownership looks like
For everyone who freaked out about the Pirates books and accused Nutting or the minority owners of "using the Pirates as their own personal piggy bank," you should check this out. Using profits to pay taxes on profits is common snese, it's what you do every day. taking out 100 million dollars on your baseball team to go screw around in Napa or Italy on the weekends is just scumbaggery. Im also going to post about my recent rtrip to Citi Field to watch Zack Duke get oblitereated in person (but Pedro signed my clemente jersey!) but Im hung over and have to got to a wedding.
Eff you McCourt family

Wow.
During testimony in the first week of their divorce trial, McCourt said he took out a $60 million loan on land around Dodger Stadium to help pay off mortgages on the couple’s expensive homes. Court documents indicated the McCourts have taken out more than $100 million in loans from Dodgers-related businesses to fund their lavish lifestyle.
Yeah, the Nuttings are too cheap to have a mortgage that cost $60 million or have a lavish lifestyle that would require $100 million.
Succo's
How fitting will celebrating Saturdays 100th loss with fireworks in front of 25-30 thousand fireworks crazed fans be…kind of sums up the Nutting Pirates for me
OMFG
THIS POST ISN’T EVEN ABOUT THE NUTTINGS!!!!! CAN YOU EVEN HELP YOURSELF?!? YOUR REDUNDANCY DEFIES ALL LOGIC. GO BACK TO YOUR BRICGE, DAMNED TROLL!!!

It would be SO fitting
Because it would show that baseball and fireworks are really fun things.

Exactly what I’d be doing if I didn’t have a job (or much of a life at all): trolling blogs!
You are to be commended on a splendid use of time. Most people would rather waste it on finding ways to improve things.

you are one to talk about wasting time cocktail
how much time do you spend on this blog commenting and watching the worst team in baseball? Why not spend your time at a health club or reading a book on how to lose weight?
BFD is most likely a frustrated fan who sees the main problem with the Pirates as ownership. I think ownership along with Baseball’s flawed economic system are the problems. And look how people respond, middle finger pictures and profanity name calling.
There are other owners who are scum. That does not mean the Pirate ownership group is upstanding and trustworthy

Thanks Juan
You are correct. I am a frustrated Pirate fan. I am not a Pirate hater…. simply a Nutting hater. The guy is a crook who lines his pockets thanks to the hard working people of Pgh and the messed up MLB system of providing welfare to teams not attempting to field a winner.
And to the rest of you. I venture to guess I spend a lot less time on blogs than the rest of you.
Line Uncle Bob’s pockets and put the blinders on if you must, but enjoy the losses as they pile up in historic fashion!
Ahh, spoken in typical BFD aspergers fashion.
I say that because all three of your posts follow my formula I created a week or so ago.

So, give me an insighful answer to this....
Why do you feel you need to force your Nutting hate on everyone else. I hate the Yankees, but I don’t go to their blog and bash jeter for pulling another bush league move.
I don’t try to force you to like Nutting, why should I have to read all your spew of stupidity? And, to top it off, when anyone asks you to give a realistic answer on how to improve the organization….you never respond. Never!!!
We tried to reason with you, then you turned out to be a douche-bag. You proved it again with this post.

You really are pretty pathetic. Just sitting, waiting, and monitoring this blog in your moms dimly lit basement waiting to pounce on anyone who doesn’t follow your master Bobby Nuttings orders…… truely a sad-sac individual.
Actually, I’m post on my phone while at the library.
You wanna know what’s pathetic? Blaming your spelling errors on cellphone posting when you don’t even have the mobile signature like I do.
I mean, a simple lie is still a lie. You aren’t gonna forget it.

I have yet to lie on this pro-Nutting site. So because I don’t have a “mobile signature” I can post on my phone? wow… you really are a moron.
It says via mobile after every mobile post
So yes, you sort of need that.
Keep biting yourself in the ass. It doesn’t hurt me any.

This is not a pro Nutting site
But it’s not an anti Nutting site either.
And, if you really want to place blame and hate on something….try major league baseball. The system is broken. The NFL and NHL fixed their problems and look how much more competitive those leagues are. It’s not just the biggest market with the biggest payroll winning most of the time. There is parity. Until MLB fixes it’s system (which as you know only helps owners like Nutting possibly pocket money that is simply given to them from other teams) the problems will remain.
Really?
You’re going to follow your first paragraph’s ad hominem with a complaint that others were “name-calling”?
For serious?
I think that was ment for BFD

may want to put your champagne on ice til Sunday
I actually think the Bucs will win on Saturday. Tonight vs Kennedy and Sunday vs Hudson are two games that don’t look very good as those two pitchers have been two of the hottest in major league baseball. However, we have J Mac on the hill on Saturday, so sorry to spoil your party plans but you may not get to wear the little party hats and blow your….um, noisemakers until Sunday.
This is something that always gets my goat when POS losers like BFD talk about all the profits nutting makes. Nutting does not make profits. The Pirates make profits. Since he’s not the sole owner of the team he can’t just take money out without the permission of the other owners. But, scumbags with zero intelligence like the turd up above will never be able to comprehend this with their un-evolved brains. Perhaps BFD is the missing link.
Put on your dancin' shoes.
Nuttings profits
You are quite gullible if you believe this nonsense.
Enjoy the fireworks.
Gullible and ‘not retarded’ aren’t synonyms in the slightest.
But great argument, by the way. Don’t use facts or evidence, just bitch and moan like you always do.

98 losses
bottom of the league in all offensive, pitching and defensive stats
100 losses will be met on Sat, in the midst of one of the worst seasons in Pirate history………JACKPOT!
My facts have been posted numerous times on this website by others. Why replay them?
I must say, too, that your facts have nothing to do with the distribution of money amongst owners of the Pirates. Why you gotta break balls and post entirely off topic?

nobody here is jealous
of your part-time job at Wendys.
It's clear
That the last sentence there was a transposition. Rather than “I have a job jerky”, which makes no sense, he meant “I have a jerky job.” In that he makes jerky from roadkill he finds, and attempts to sell it to passers-by.
I'd always wondered
what that meat was. Now I know. And am horrified.
You have absolutely no understanding of business partnerships if you think I am wrong. The Pirates make profits as an organization. This is a fact. Bob Nutting is the majority owner of the franchise. The money belongs to the Pirates, not Bob Nutting. He can not just take money for himself. He must pay out dividends which would have been seen when the financial details of the last few years were released. Just because you have a complete lack of business knowledge and refuse to believe the true practices of a partnership does not make me gullible. It makes you an ignoramus.
Put on your dancin' shoes.
why do you waste so much time worrying about what other people are doing?
If we want to go to the games and enjoy the fireworks, we will. It’s none of your damn business. So quite posting your self righteous bulls**t and leave us alone. You do what you want and we’ll do what we want, without being questioned by anyone. We all know you have a problem with Nutting, so quite repeating it with every post you make.
Goes to show
that the outrage over the Pirates profits were overblown. Bucs owners were reimbursed for taxes and the McCorts were world traveling with the team’s money. Its like perple are getting upset when the next door neighbor who is on WIC gets a cell phone better then theirs but don’t care that the (fictional) mayor is blowing the city’s funds at Vegas. You won’t see a big story on ESPN about the McCorts because it doesn’t fit the established narritive. So frustrating.

Gave a B for the Nady trade
Yeah, it’s not an A. Never mind that the Yankees don’t even have Nady anymore and that Damaso is on the 60 day DL and that pretty much all four players acquired are currently on the team.

As a SoCal resident and Dodger hater...
even I would never wish upon Dodger fans (who for the most part are why I hate the Dodgers) the damage the McCourts are going to do to the team. During this divorce, the team is going be sold off for parts and what’s left will have so much debt, fixing it will be impossible.
And so it begins
As Torre bails on the Dodgers.

You guys realize
you are fighting a battle of wits with an unarmed man?
That is why
I choose not to, typically.
I mean look at some of the comments they make:
Q: So, which trade in particular don’t you like?
A: Enjoy the popcorn and the culture of losing.
Q: No, really – the floor is yours. Which trades or trades do you think we shouldn’t have made?
A: 100 losses. Enjoy the fireworks.
Q: Yeah, I know we’re not very good this year, but the nice thing is that there are some pieces in place to make us better in the next few years.
A: Nutting is pocketing money by the truckload and you have been supporting him for 18 consecutive losing years.
Q: Yeah, well, every team pretty much profits, due to the fact that MLB owners are running businesses. Look at the Yanks, for example. They control their own TV network…
A: Nutting must sell. 18 years. Kool-aid. Culture of losing. Losinglosinglsonglosinglos—brzzzakakakpp!

if I may submit a quote from the referenced work
Nov. 3, 2009: Reliever Jesse Chaves to Tampa Bay for second baseman Aki Iwamura. No comment necessary. Grade: F-
If I may ask is Chavez, yes he spelled Chavez wrong, in the Majors any more, I haven’t heard anything about him since he was traded to the Braves

before his contract was even over. he probably would have done the same with Pitt.
all the yinzers exploded when chaves, i mean chavez, was flipped for soriano
which means the pirates could have gotten soriano instead of iwamura, or some other bulldung thing like that

Being the good guys we are,
some of us can’t help trying to reason with the reasonless.
But it’s like trying to show Obama’s birth certificate to a birther. You can produce all the facts you want, but they really aren’t interested in evidence, they enjoy their side of the argument too much because it fits their worldview. Inevitable it spirals down to, “If I’m an idiot, what are you?”
Hope that helps.

Yeah
for a PTBNL, as I mentioned on the Duke thread.
I don’t expect we’ll hear a lot from the NH haters on that.
maybe we can get Ethier now since the dodgers are completely clueless
or completely hindered by the fact their owner(s) are thieving, lying, dooooshezzzzz
Torre's available now too.
We could snag him. He’d probably love to come to a team that isn’t a shell of its former greatness, a team that doesn’t have an owner everybody hates, a team that doesn’t skimp and scrape on the major-league product …
Oh, wait.
It was such a salary dump.

ESPN, but i'm just saying you know
Like i don’t think you can be super successful whenever you are the owner (or CEO it’s pretty much the same thing) of Seven Springs and the Pittsburgh Pirates
Yeah!
I see exactly what one has to do with the other.
(????????)
You're missing the point.
I just have a hard time believing someone who is owning multiple companies/organizations will be successful other than say Mark Cuban.
Actually,
aren’t most sports entities owned by conglomerates now? I mean, there’s often a guy who’s the face of the ownership group, but really, I’ll assume that for most teams the “owner” is a group of people and/or corporations who have their hands in all kinds of businesses, right?
Then again, the Post-Gazette owned a piece of the Pirates and the Tribune Co. owned most of the Cubs and we see how that turned out, so maybe you have a point.
Didn't Steinbrenneners Boat company go under at some point

I seem to recall
something along those lines.
But keep in mind, I believe the NY press often referred to George as the “principle” owner, which means there were other investors in the team, almost certainly involved in other businesses. George just owned the biggest chunk, so he got to have all the fun.
