Sid Goes Yard

This is too good to put in a FanPost where it belongs. It was a beautiful day in Pittsburgh today and Sid was down at PNC Park taking some BP. Greg Whyshynski, the author of the Puck Daddy hockey blog at Yahoo sports has the story--and of course can't resist make the obligatory Pirates joke.

UPDATE: Sorry couldn't make that one work.  Here is another link.

This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of the managing editor (Charlie) or SB Nation. FanPosts are written by Bucs Dugout readers.

The link is kinda broken.

This was pretty funny, though.

Maybe I'm missin' it but...

What do we care what a middle-aged ex-ball player does in BP?

Whose idea was it to invite Sid Bream to P’burgh anyway? Some sort of tie-in to the Braves series?

Did they need a police escort to get Sid in and out of PNC park?

Why don't you knock it off with them negative vibes?!

He’s the Crosby with the most home runs at PNC Park this season. Do you think he could hit more in the seats than Lastings Milledge if given 400 at bats?

Package Deal

Hopefully we don’t hear of a Sid and Mario Right Fielder/Owner combo

Is anyone surprised

that this guy has outstanding hand/eye coordination as well as a deep understanding of weight transfer and hip/shoulder rotation?

are you saying

instead of sending players to the AFL, we should be sending them to hockey camp? i like it

by theatrain on Sep 9, 2010 10:55 AM EDT up reply actions

That would not work.

We’d just wind up trading them to the Nationals where they’d eventually lose it and try to punch everybody.

Also obligatory

Nutting is too cheap to sign Sid to play first base!

Kind of makes me wish...

…he’d picked a sport I care about.

Oh well.
