He gets a minor-league deal and non-roster invite to spring training. UPDATE by Charlie: Kevin Kouzmanoff had a poor year starting at third for the A's last year, but he's still a bunch better than LaRoche, so it's hard to see how LaRoche will win much major-league playing time unless he recovers from whatever ailed him last year, or someone gets hurt. I suppose he could stick as a spare infielder, much in the same way he did last year.
