Below is a link to a fascinating read of the man who created the DIPS metric.  As everyone on here knows, I am not a fan of most, if any, of the metrics, especially concerning defense.  Yet this article about Bob "Voros" McCracken, albeit short, had me very interested in how someone can get into a poorly paid career in a very wealthy field yet have a hard time away from it.
