2005-2011 Draftees K/9 BB/9 by Level
Listed below are two links to a list of K/9 and BB/9, by level, for Pirates draft picks from 2005-2011.
Spreadsheet should be sortable (e.g., descending K/9 by all A+ pitchers).
Next step could be to add the int'l signings from that period, and all NH trade acquisitions that pitched below AA.

A few notes:
- Google spreadsheet is editable. If anyone wants to correct, re-structure, or add - I can add you.
- Each cell (one per level) contains the innings pitched and rates per year, using IP to weight the K/9 and BB/9.
- For 2005 and 2006, I left out many of the more obscure late round draft picks.
- Most, but not all, of the 2008-2009 trade acquisitions (Morton, Locke, Pribanic, etc) are listed.
- AFL numbers are listed at the level in which the prospect finished the year (usually high-A).
- 2011 NCAA/HS numbers for 2011 draft picks are listed in the notes column.
- Fangraphs, Baseball Reference, Pirates Prospects, and Pirates.com were used to compile information.

Great work
Should the Pirates keep Neal Huntington?

Does anyone know where I can find a list of international signings, per year, since 2005?
Pirates Prospects has a great list for 2011:

Conversely, I could just start at the current DSL/VSL rosters, move onto GCL, etc.
For the last 3 seasons, you could probably wade through the transactions page on Pirates.com, but I’m not sure that includes ALL international free agents signed by the Pirates. The other possibility might be wading through the archives at baseballamerica.com.
I doubt that either location provides all internationals, but you’d probably at least catch the ones that got bonuses. Otherwise, the farm system rosters would be the only hope.

They don’t. In fact, I don’t think either source had any int’l signings at all until a year or two ago. The only way I know of to do it, other than just looking at who played each year, would be to have all the Pirate media guides, but I’m not sure even that would be accurate.
You might want to skip the guys who never made it out of the DSL/VSL. Just go with the guys who appear on the GCL and NYPL stat pages at bb-ref.

Looks like the Pirates.com transaction pages started carrying a few of them with the July 2009 batch.
WTM and Thunder – thanks for the recommendations. Starting with the GCL and NYPL players will definitely save time and I’ll check Pirates.com for signings in the last few years.
I’m pretty sure the only Latin guy they’ve had who skipped over both the GCL and NYPL was Porfirio Lopez. Of course, they traded for guys who were further along, like Cardenas.

Update (11/3)
- Added an “other acquisitions” worksheet : waiver pick-ups, minor league FA, major league FA, and trades from 2005-2011. I didn’t include players like the type of Marino Salas or Neal Cotts, or any acquistion that didn’t pitch in the minors.
- Added a column just for AFL stats (tired to capture Pirates players back to ’05).
- Fixed a minor error in fractional innings calcs.
- Current link is ONLY the Google Doc spreadsheet. I’ll post another downloadable one when I’m all done with everything.
Now onto international signings…
