Larry Corrigan Lands on His Feet
Well, that didn't take long. The former member of the Pirates' front office, who was let go during this offseason's restructuring, will be joining the Angels' front office as one of new GM Jerry Dipoto's first hires. Good for him.

I can already hear the screaming in Smizikistan.
You're entitled to your own opinions. You're not entitled to your own facts.
Like they would even know who Larry Corrigan is.
Without Smizik telling them that is. And so far he hasn’t….

Makes no difference
I doubt most of them had a clue who Matt Walbeck was.

In other news . . .
It took Theo about, what, three days to get rid of Mike Quade. An ominously swift and logical start in Cubbieland.

i think the gossip in Cubland was
that it took all of 3 days because he had long discussions with Quade to gather whatever intel he could on current players.
I got a bad feeling about this

Wouldn't be shocked...
to see Francona end up on Interstate 55 somewhere…either St. Louis or Chicago.
I met Larry during the Washington series...
…in DC and he was a very friendly and open guy. He took time not only during the game to explain to me what he was doing but invited me to sit with him the next day as well. Sat and talked with him and FC for a while that night and was impressed with their patience and good humor with an average fan like me.
Glad to hear that he landed somewhere.
