Blue Jays Claim Jeroloman Back
No, really.
Also, Eric Fryer cleared, so he stays. Good and good.

After they claimed Jeroloman, Bobbo wrote a post blasting the Pirates for claiming other team’s rejects. (You know, because no decent team ever makes a waiver claim.) I wonder if now he’ll write a post saying that, since the Pirates claimed him, the Jays must have figured it was a mistake to let him go.
Occupy MLB! Down with Seligula!
Haha
I’m sure he already has a rational, well written, 1000-word column expressing that very sentiment.

that's kind of what i was thinking
jeroloman must have some intangibles or projection that they really really believe in…
We need a defensive catcher in the system
If only to work with D’Arnaud and mentor him a bit and maybe make an occassional spot start if JPA goes down. Jeroloman has been considered one of the best defensive catchers in the minors for years, calls a good game and wouldn’t make a bad coach. His complete lack of bat has just negated this value overall but as a backup we’ll suffer it.
this made me blink for a few seconds
I was like, “Why does Chase d’Arnaud need to work with a defensive catcher?” Then I realized you were a Blue Jays fan and meant Travis.
Thanks for the info!

Apologies, should have specified
too many d’Arnaud’s around here lately, not a bad thing in the most part but a little confusing.
although the Pirates pointed out
that Jeroloman had a 30% career CS rate in the minors, they neglected to mention that last year he was dead last (30th) in AAA with 13.9%

So they’re in the same place as before, right? They have to put him on the 40, where they didn’t have room for him earlier.

Fryer?
Nope. Cleared waivers, off to Indy he goes.

Ah, Jelloman.
Don’t know, don’t care.
But that’s just me, Woz.

Jeroloman’s week-long nightmare is over, apparently.

Clearly all part of Neal's evil plan
Distract teams with Jeroloman’s availability to sneak the obviously less valuable Eric Fryer through. Brilliant!
The glare of the spotlight is harsh, and the pressure that success breeds immense. We revere our heroes, but expect much. And criticism can come as easily as praise.
