"Rookie of the Year runner-up Mark Trumbo and the injured Kendrys Morales are now in limbo. There has been some talk of moving Trumbo to third, but the Angels may trade him instead. Morales, a borderline non-tender candidate with a projected salary in the $3MM range, might draw interest from teams such as the Rays, Pirates, Cubs, Brewers and Blue Jays if and when he and Trumbo become available"
Just saw this on MLB Trade Rumors and I know ever since Albert signed with the Angels, this has been a heavily debated topic on here about obtaining Trumbo or Morales via trade. BUT, keep into consideration that the Angels also has have the power-hitting big bopper 1st baseman CJ Cron in their system; 17th overall pick in 2011 draft out of Utah. He just hit 13 HR's, 41 rbi's, .308 batting average, .629 slugging %, 1.000 OPS in only 34 games played in Rookie Ball since he signed at the deadline ( I can't find any WAR or other sabermetric numbers on Cron). I remember during the 2011 Draft he was touted as the best pure power hitter in the draft. Hits for average and power. So what in the world are they going to do with him now that Albert is locked in for 10 years? I would say the Buccos should take a shot at obtaining Cron via trade with the Angels
