Meh.
Yeah, he has a good pedigree, but he’ll be 26 by Opening Day next year, and he’s got a career 5.33 K/9 and 4.53 xFIP. I guess I’d take him if Washington were to cut him, but I wouldn’t give up any meaningful prospects in a deal for him.
Hard work always beats talent if talent doesn't work hard.

How many brooks would a Brooks Laich like if a Brooks Laich could like brooks?
Per MLBTR
The Nats will shop Lannan for a bat before Detwiller. Lannan is decent, youngish lefty, with low SO numbers and has only put up a combined 1.0 WAR over the past two years.
If we have any interest at all maybe the Pirates offer Gorkys?
He's basically LH Brad Lincoln
taken 2 spots behind in same draft and he still has basically the same value/upside as Brad Lincoln. Being a lefty with possible HR issues he might work out in our park as a solid 3/4 type but he’s not a sure thing and his upside isn’t nearly as high as when drafted.
...and I don't have
…a whole lotta faith in Lincoln, to tell the truth.
