Former Pirates pitcher Sean Gallagher has signed a minor league contract with the Reds.
The Pirates purchased Gallagher from the Padres in July 2010. He was put in the bullpen, appearing in 31 games with the Pirates in 2010, with a 2-1 record and a 6.03 era. Gallagher spent all of 2011 in the minors pitching in AAA Indianapolis' rotation with a 5-12 record and a 5.11 era.
Gallagher has also pitched for the Cubs and Athletics.
