I had a dream that Mark Cuban owned the Pirates.
First, he has a hillareous press conference, trots out some old time winners, and tells everyone there is a new sherrif in the league. He carries on during games but tells it like it is. Pirates fans love his attitude and start buying more tickets on faith things really will turn around. Cuban signs a couple good free agents and inspires the rest to play a bit harder. The ball really starts rolling. Before long, television revenues go up and the attendance increase allowing for another couple free agents to be signed. Year 3, we contend for the playoffs, and from then on, the synergy of good ownership, players and fans comes together.
