Saw that in addition to the Atkins release news (and reassignments for Thomas & Nieve), that Jen Langosch is now saying that Olsen's likely to start the year on the DL, which is pretty much going to assure Charlie Morton getting the Pirates 5th spot in the rotation (which is pretty much as it should be, Morton certainly has posted very impressive numbers this spring.)

It's funny how we often worry ourselves (the whole discussion yesterday about Atkins and how some saw it as a waste having him in Indy, whereas others thought it necessary that the Pirates keep someone on reserve down there), just clears itself up on its own (just like the 5th starter's spot in the rotation).

Glad to see that Clint Hurdle isn't playing favorites with his former players, as all reports pointed to Atkins having a terrible spring and nothing that seemed to indicate that he would be returning to his own productive self anytime soon.
