Random thoughts from Clearwater
From the front row at Bright House Field, armed with good beer and sunblock (thanks to BD recommendations) your intrepid reporter offers gold-plated insights.
Wimberley is really fast. See two SB on two pitches. Ciriaco is not much slower.
The Phillies plan to dominate using Pirate castoffs. See Delwyn Young and Brandon Moss. I recommend going back to the strategy of sending out a stud every fourth day. Young still can't field.
More importantly, Tony Watson needs to throw more strikes to be an effective MLB reliever. But, he was just missing, so it might just be a Saturday thing.

On the double play to end the game...
Was there a diving catch by Presley or something? I’m just looking at the gameday results and wasn’t listening to the radio.
I believe it was a gap shot
that Elvis reached up and snagged. The two Philly runners on base had taken off, assuming it was a double. The runner at first was all the way around second and doubled off easily.
"Who is John Galt?"
"that Elvis reached up and snagged"
well done! I vote we call Alex Presley “Elvis” here on!
