With lefty Randy Wolf taking the mound for the Brewers tonight, Clint Hurdle has made some changes in the lineup. Steve Pearce will be making his first start of the season and the first start of his career at third base. Pearce's versatility in spring training was the key to him staying on the roster and it will be interesting to see how he handles the hot corner. All reports have suggested that he was surprisingly adequate for a guy who had played there very little, if at all, the past four or five years. Obviously, the struggling Pedro Alvarez gets the night off.
After last night's game Chris Snyder was activated from the disabled list and joined the club today. As expected Jason Jaramillo was sent down. While I would always expect Snyder to get the start against a lefty, it will be interesting to see if he gets 5-6 starts a week and how Hurdle chooses to use Ryan Doumit as a result.
