Where will this lead to in the future?

I'm disappointed with the offense overall at this point. One would think that it would have to get better at some point here. We all know how bad the run support was last year. Yesterday they were 1 for 7 with runners in scoring position and left 15 men on base. This is not going to cut it. I dont get how so many players can be playing so badly at the same time. And the answer isnt that these guys stink, because a lot of these guys can hit. How long is it going to take until Pedro and Andrew Cutch are in the 270 batting average range? Its a real shame, because with the way the pitching has held its own (one of the best ten in the league right now of was before last night?), if the hitting was where it could be, or even serviceable, this team could be really exciting. Hence all the excitement after the first 6 games: the pitching and hitting were there.

Are these bats going to wake up? Will the pitching still be good enough when that happens so that they will be able to win a bunch of games?
