Here is Rudy Owens’ first outing this year on April 11. He allowed 1 run in 7 innings on a very long HR in the 2nd inning. I noticed that the Mudhens’ approach seemed to be to try to hit the first thing that looked good early on. Then he was able to get more K’s as the game went on. There was a lot of hard contact on him, however, they were unable to get anything going except for that one big blast.
The video condenses his whole outing down to 11 minutes.
