Brandon Wood in Lineup at 3rd, Batting 6th

Not surprisingly Bradon Wood is in the starting lineup tonight. But in something of a surprise, at least to me, he is playing third base as opposed to shortstop. With left-hander John Lannan going for the Nationals tonight, Hurdle has decided to sit Pedro Alvarez. Alvarez has hit some balls hard as of late and got two more hits yesterday so it's a little odd they are sitting him, but I guess a day off against a tough lefty isn't a terrible idea.

I could understand not wanting to sit Ronny Cedeno yesterday after he got two hits on Saturday, but I figured Wood would be in there at short today. The Brandon Wood Era is upon us.
