Altoona Racks Up 13 Runs In Victory Over Harrisburg
Want to see a weird boxscore? Check out Altoona's game from today. The Curve struck out 11 times against Harrisburg and only walked once, but racked up 13 runs, 18 hits, and four homers. They scored five runs against former Pirate Jimmy Barthmaier even though Barthmaier had five strikeouts and no walks in three innings.
Jordy Mercer went 3-for-5 with two homers, while Starling Marte went 3-for-6 with a double, raising his average to .328. Jeff Locke pitched six innings, allowing two runs and striking out three.
Indianapolis already played today as well, losing 1-0 to Durham. Brian Burres and Tony Watson combined to allow just five hits in the game, but Indy's offense only mustered four hits itself.
