And the first pick of the 2011 MLB should be... Bubba Starling

A 6'5 athletic outfielder with power and a cannon arm from America's heartland.  Something just feels right here with the Bubba Starling pick.  In his first game back from injury this season, he belts 2 homers.  To me, that is a sign of a competitor.  The difference between an All-Star and minor leaguer is more than just pure talent, it is the will the win and succeed.

Bubba Starling is also the darling recruit for the national powerhouse Nebraska Cornhuskers.  He is their prized QB recruit, as he ran for over 2000 yards his senior season in Kansas high school football.  Starling has all the tools to excel as a major league outfielder.  Remember Todd Helton was prized QB recruit at Tennessee, but had his football career blocked by one Peyton Manning.  Helton did OK hitting ML pitchers, right?

The others to consider: Cole, Rendon and whoever... do not excite me nearly as much as Bubba Starling.  Cole is not even the most dominant pitcher on his college team.  Rendon is on the smaller side and injury ridden.  To me, Bubba is the clear obvious pick for 2011.
