Evan Meek Likely To Come Back Tuesday

Evan Meek is likely to return to the Pirates on Tuesday, the Post-Gazette reports. If his injury was really to blame for his inconsistency earlier this year, his return should be a good thing. With Chris Resop struggling and with Jose Ascanio and Danny Moskos taking up roster spots, the addition of another good reliever has the potential to help a lot. My guess is that Moskos will be optioned when Meek returns, although the P-G notes that it's also possible that Ascanio could be designated for assignment.

Ascanio has good stuff, he just needs more time coming back from injury. If they DFA him, I really hope he’ll clear waivers.
