Ran across this article on "quick fixes" for all 30 MLB teams. Some are legitimate, some are questionable at best. Their suggestion for the Pirates is to bolster the rotation by trading for Erik Bedard. While I, like many scouts and GMs, am intrigued by Bedard's ceiling, his injury history and recent mediocre performance makes me say...no, no, no, no, no thank you. We're certainly not giving up anybody of value this season, and given what the Mariners gave up to get him, I'm guessing they won't let him go easy. I'll pass.
