Now might be a good time for FO to start putting feelers out for blocked prospects who have nice upside. I feel the bucs are in a position to trade multiple prospects for a higher blocked prospect.
One name that has come up previously is Cincy property 1B Y Alonzo. A problem there is that the Red's moved him to LF and he appears to be atleast adequate out there. Add the .324 BA w/ average power, I doubt the Red's would be inclined to move him.
The one guy who seems to fit that "perfect storm" of only being able to play 1B and is definitely blocked is Philly farmhand Jonathon Singleton. He has struggled in the OF and trying to learn the game out there has affected his hitting and confidence. He is a top 50 rated prospect and only 20 years old.
Knowing the buc's are short at the corner w/ Curry the exception, I feel Singleton is a worthy candidate to be targeted. I feel a Lambo and a lesser prospect, possibly pitcher could land him.
There are many here who follow other teams prospects that I felt this topic might bring in a few great idea's.
Plus I'm tired of the Bauer talk.
Not sure if this should be a FanPost or Shot but it's all in the learning.
It just makes alot of sense to try and get something for these kids instead of a mass exodus via rule 5, of course Nutting might just rather get that 50K.
Love to hear some idea's and be easy on the first timer
